Passenger-duty translation
School Bus Mini and Passenger Mobility Use Cases
Translate the operating environment into seat layout, access, dimensions, powertrain, ratings, document, and delivery questions before factories quote.

Duty
Describe school, campus, employee, hospitality, medical, or community use; route speed; stop frequency; grade; climate; daily distance; and operating hours.
Configuration
Define seats, occupant type, supervision, standing policy, doors, step height, wheelchair positions, securement, luggage, HVAC, and communication equipment.
Quantity
State total units, configuration groups, rollout sequence, evaluation-unit expectations, and whether option changes must be held consistent across the order.
Destination
Name the state or port, operating jurisdiction, Incoterm, inspection point, requested documentation, delivery sequence, and commissioning responsibilities.
Match each passenger mission to a different verification path
School and youth transport
Ask which exact vehicle category and destination rules apply; then bind seat geometry, occupant restraints, exits, visibility, accessibility, lighting, signage, supervision, and operating speed to the offered configuration. A generic “school bus” label or family brochure does not prove applicability.
Campus, hotel, airport, and employee shuttle
Balance passenger seats with luggage or standing space, door cycle, step height, route duration, climate load, dwell time, driver visibility, and low-speed maneuvering. Compare body dimensions and turning needs against the actual site rather than using capacity alone.
Accessible community mobility
Specify wheelchair positions, lift or ramp approach, securement, aisle width, door clearances, companion seating, boarding surface, and operator workflow. Request drawings and demonstration evidence for the exact layout, then review local acceptance separately.
Evidence questions for passenger vehicles
Capacity and compliance statements are only useful when they match the quoted bus, configuration, model year, and operating destination.
Passenger capacity
Request the seating drawing, wheelchair and luggage allowances, curb-weight basis, GVWR, and any option effect. The largest family capacity is not automatically the capacity of the quoted vehicle.
Powertrain and range
For electric buses, distinguish nominal and usable kWh, connector, AC and DC charging, range test basis, route speed, HVAC, load, grade, and reserve assumptions. For combustion models, confirm engine, fuel, transmission, emissions configuration, and service information.
Destination documents
Request exact-model documents and identify the party responsible for FMVSS, EPA, import, state registration, inspection, and final acceptance review. MiniBus Match does not grant those approvals.
